Carl Craig unveils soundtrack for new documentary Desire: The Carl Craig Story

Detroit techno icon Carl Craig has announced the release of the official soundtrack to his new documentary Desire: The Carl Craig Story.
Directed by Jean-Cosme Delaloye and produced by Sovereign Films, the film will debut in over 30 theatres across the UK and Ireland on May 8, with a U.S. release to follow. It chronicles the influential Planet E Recordings head's rise from middle-class neighbourhoods in his native Motor City to international acclaim while framing his personal and artistic evolution within the broader context of the city's cultural shifts.
The film includes commentary from key figures in the global music scene such as Gilles Peterson, Roni Size, Laurent Garnier, DJ Minx, Kenny Larkin, Moritz von Oswald and James Lavelle. It highlights Craig’s enduring commitment to Detroit’s Black creative community and the foundational Black roots of electronic music and explores his work on fashion collaborations and his acclaimed installation Party/After-Party, which is now part of the Detroit Institute of Arts’ permanent collection.
The soundtrack comes on Craig’s label with selections spanning his extensive catalogue, including several tracks which arrive digitally for the first time. Among them is 'No More Words,' originally released in 1991 and widely regarded as a landmark track in the Detroit techno movement.
