Charlie Sparks brings techno chaos to an East London bakery for 'Back From The Baker' pop-up
An oven, a DJ booth, and unrelenting techno: Charlie Sparks turns a Hackney bakery into a surprise rave.

Last night, UK techno trailblazer Charlie Sparks took over EK BAKERY on Broadway Market, Hackney in London, for an unannounced pop-up event to celebrate the release of his new track ‘Back From The Baker’, which is out now on his ELEKTRA imprint.
Turning a real working bakery into a full-blown rave, Sparks delivered one of his signature high-octane sets from 6:30 to 8:30pm surrounded by superfans crammed into the intimate space. With flour still in the air and industrial ovens in the backdrop, it was a red hot session with a friendly but energetic vibe of the sort that Sparks has long been championing around the world. The DIY celebration perfectly reflected Charlie's MO and the energy of his latest and greatest new tune.
The track has been teased across his recent shows and draws on Sparks’ signature hard techno sound with the kind of relentless pace and rave-ready textures that have made him a scene disruptor.
The event showed again why Sparks is one of the most unpredictable and exciting forces in techno and comes just ahead of tour dates in the US, Lisbon, Malta, Germany, and Ibiza.
