Charlie Sparks turns up the heat with a surprise rave inside a Hackney bakery

No warning, no RSVP. Last night, Charlie Sparks hijacked EK Bakery on Broadway Market for an off-the-grid techno blowout, celebrating the drop of his latest weapon Back From The Baker, now out via his own ELEKTRA imprint.
From 6:30 to 8:30pm, what’s normally a humble pastry spot turned into a sweatbox. Sparks unleashed a two-hour barrage of high-velocity techno to a room packed wall-to-wall with diehard fans. Industrial ovens, flour in the air, no stage, no barrier; just raw energy and bodies in motion. The kind of chaos that doesn’t just happen; it’s engineered.

Back From The Baker is Charlie in full strike mode. Relentless percussion, no breathing room, and that signature rave-primed pressure that’s been wreaking havoc in his recent sets. The track’s already become a fixture for those tuned into the harder side of the spectrum.
With this move, Sparks reminds us why he’s one of the most unpredictable forces in techno right now. No marketing fluff, no overplanning; just one room, one vibe, and a reminder of what underground culture actually looks like.
And he’s not slowing down. Up next: US dates, Lisbon, Malta, Germany, and Ibiza. The man’s on a tear.
