Chuck Daniels Relaunches Sampled Detroit With A Curated Remix Collection And Renewed Label Vision

Following a short hiatus, independent House music label Sampled Detroit has officially announced its return with a curated collection of remixes crafted by label founder Chuck Daniels. Released on August 7th, 2026, the six-track package revisits key highlights from Daniels' production catalogue, bringing a selection of his most sought-after works back to DJ booths and streaming platforms worldwide with brand-new remastering.

The collection highlights Chuck Daniels' distinct production style across a series of reworks for artists including Jr Jr, Jake Childs & Laura Frey, Lupe, Evan Rhodes featuring Clara Grun, and Chicago House veteran Johnny Fiasco. Moving fluidly between soulful musicality, driving basslines, and timeless House arrangements, the compilation reflects Daniels' deep-rooted connection to the genre's heritage while providing updated, high-quality masters tailored for modern sound systems.

The undeniable centerpiece of the release is the newly remastered edition of Daniels' remix for Andy Toth & Billy Love’s "Thrillseekers." Originally issued via Seth Troxler’s Play It Say It imprint, the remix earned widespread support from international tastemakers such as Eats Everything and Skream, became a peak-time anthem across Ibiza dance floors, and secured a spot in Spin Magazine's Top 40 Dance Tracks of All Time. Its inclusion in this compilation celebrates both the historical legacy of the label and its forward-looking artistic direction.

Speaking on the return of the imprint, Chuck Daniels noted: "Bringing people together has always been at the heart of everything I do, whether that's through music or my other passion, food. Relaunching Sampled Detroit feels like the right time to revisit some of these remixes, give them the treatment they deserve and make them available again for a new generation of DJs and fans."

For over two decades, Chuck Daniels has served as a key pillar within Detroit’s electronic music ecosystem. Having collaborated with and earned the support of city pioneers like Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, and Derrick May, his work has been featured on seminal labels including Defected, Planet E, Classic, KMS, Yoruba, and Warner Brothers. Alongside the record label, Daniels continues to cultivate the city's House culture through "Sampled," his long-running Movement Festival afterparty brand which recently expanded beyond Detroit with a showcase at crobar in Cleveland alongside Harry Romero, Mark Farina, and DJ Heather.
