CLOSER Festival Announces Landmark First European Edition in Bosnia
The Australian techno powerhouse brings a heavyweight underground lineup to Livno from July 24th–26th.
Australian techno institution CLOSER Festival is making a major international move, locking in its inaugural European edition in Livno, Bosnia, from July 24th–26th, 2026. Founded by SPEZ through his Warg Records platform, CLOSER has built a dedicated cult following across Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth—even earning recognition from the Victorian Government as a festival of cultural significance. This European expansion marks a homecoming for SPEZ, bringing global electronic sub-culture directly to his ancestral roots in the Herzeg-Bosnia region.
Set at the foot of the Kamensko mountain range and next to one of Europe's largest man-made lakes, the fully camping-based weekend features a high-end techno roster. Headliners include heavyweights like Dax J, Daria Kolosova, SLAM, Rene Wise, Ignez, Alarico, and raw live performances from Stef Mendesidis and Colin Benders. CLOSER sets itself apart by heavily leaning into local culture and nature, offering lake swimming, mountain excursions to see Livno’s famous wild horses, and the "Ritam Kahve" ("Rhythm of Coffee") social space serving traditional Bosnian coffee every morning.
