Spanish-Moroccan producer Fatima Hajji has announced her new single, ‘I’m Feeling’, landing on Insomniac’s Mutate Records on July 24.
Marking her debut on the label, ‘I’m Feeling’ is a high-pressure hard techno cut built around a relentless schranz framework. Fast-paced drums, weighty kicks and sharp synths drive the track forward, while white-noise risers and sweeping effects create a charged, warehouse-ready atmosphere.
At its centre is a looped and heavily processed vocal hook, transformed into a hypnotic refrain that reinforces the track’s surreal lyrical theme.
Born in Salamanca, Hajji draws on her Spanish-Moroccan heritage and Arab roots to shape a distinctive strain of hard techno, combining tribal percussion with industrial textures and African influences.
Her music has received regular support from the likes of Charlotte de Witte, Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, I Hate Models, Monika Kruse and Deborah De Luca, while her previous collaborators include Héctor Oaks, ED E.T and Roentgen Limiter.
The release follows Hajji’s recent Face 2 Face set with Cera Khin at Verknipt’s Ziggo Dome show. Her summer schedule also includes appearances at Time Warp, Awakenings, Kappa FuturFestival, Monegros Desert Festival, Aquasella and Medusa, alongside her own Fatima Hajji Invites showcases and a Pyramid residency at Amnesia Ibiza.
Fatima Hajji’s ‘I’m Feeling’ is out July 24 via Mutate Records.
