Funk Tribu releases remix of Boys Noize, TAICHU and Taube’s 'Shut It Down'

Colombian-born, Berlin-based producer Funk Tribu is to release a remix of Boys Noize, TAICHU and Taube’s “Shut It Down” on 28 August via ONES and ZEROS.

The remix follows Funk Tribu’s recent LIFE EP and takes the original into a more percussive, trance-influenced direction. Distorted textures, rolling percussion and prominent synths are used to reshape the track while retaining elements of its original structure and energy.

'Shut It Down' was originally released in May and brings together Boys Noize, Argentine artist TAICHU and Berlin-based producer Taube. The track was released on Boys Noize’s own label and has subsequently featured in sets at festivals including Coachella and Ultra, according to the release information.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Funk Tribu comments: “It’s a huge honor to remix a Boys Noize track. His career is full of iconic releases that have shaped electronic music and inspired so many of us from the new generation of producers. Getting the chance to put my own perspective on one of his tracks is definitely one of my highlights of 2026, and of my career so far.”
