Harry Wills & Mikey Sebastian release hotly anticipated ‘sweatbox’ on method 808

“The way people have championed this record has been phenomenal, from the DJs who’ve played it to the clubbers knowing all the words to the vocal. The way it has caught attention has been incredibly organic, which is really special.” – Mikey Sebastian

Already one of 2025’s most anticipated and unique releases, Harry Wills and Mikey Sebastian’s ‘Sweatbox’ will be available digitally via Method 808 on Friday 28 March, following its 12” limited release on Alec Falconer’s revered Ba Dum Tish.

Born out of a prolific partnership between the two artists, both Berlin based during the time of production, ‘Sweatbox’ has swiftly become a need-to-know record, supported by the likes of Interplanetary Criminal, Chris Stussy, Enzo Siragusa, Tristan Da Cunha, Laidlaw, Rossi, Cinthie, Z@p and Liquid Earth to name just a few.

Introduced during lockdown while trying to write an after-hours R&B record at Alec’s Berlin studio, Harry and Mikey became fast friends, working on a number of tracks together. Several collaborations later ‘Sweatbox’ came to life, capturing the chaotic, playful energy of a night out. Built on a bumpy garage beat by Harry, the heat, the haze and even some of the clichés of a night out started to come to Mikey as he listened while walking the streets of Berlin, the result - the intricate lyricism of ‘Sweatbox’. A vivid, tongue-in-cheek narrative featuring two characters, an interplay between Mikey’s POV and his alias, Sidekick Palava—a persona designed to deliver the more riské vocal exchanges.

With an esteemed reputation on the underground, Harry Wills has become a need-to-know producer and DJ in Berlin and beyond. His productions, like his DJ sets, vary from grooving 90s inspired tech-house, breakbeats to 2-Step and UKG. His collaborative project Phone Traxxx alongside Alec and Rob Amboule has seen the trio deliver their live set at festivals like Dimensions in Tisno and Wales’ Gottwood, plus beloved clubs such as London’s fabric and The Pickle Factory and Shelter Amsterdam.

Originally from Bristol, now residing in Austin after a 6-year stint in Berlin, Mikey Sebastian’s CV goes beyond the MC we hear on ‘Sweatbox’. Deeply involved in Berlin’s spoken word scene as a poet and an esteemed writer, as well as performing as a House dancer, the playful and quick nature of Mikey’s innate lyricism is clear across everything he does.

The first release in a number to land from the duo, ‘Sweatbox’ has all the makings to be one of 2025’s standout and most distinctive records.
