Italian hard techno DJ/Producer MAIKE DEPAS announces brand-new 4-track EP ‘The Circle Of Life’

Following his recent ‘Tokyo Nights ’ EP, Milanese hard techno producer Maike Depas is back once again with a brand-new release, on the infamous Pushmaster Discs, owned by Mattia Trani - affirmed techno performer and producer since almost a decade. Maike Depas’ newest EP is named ‘The Circle Of Life’ and features a four-track banger arsenal.

The EP *The Circle Of Life* aims to represent my artistic journey, constantly evolving and characterized by profound and intense musicality, reflecting my path as a figure in the international techno scene.

The title of the EP holds crucial significance in fully understanding this new musical chapter, marked by a play of contrasting sounds that lead the listener on an introspective journey, toward the most hidden and intimate part of my identity as an artist. *The Circle Of Life* symbolizes the cycle of our existence, both earthly and beyond, with music serving as the medium through which the gates of our sensory perception open, allowing us to be transported into an imaginary, detached reality. In that fleeting moment, we can experience true freedom, connecting with a higher reality that we cannot see, but can only perceive.

The EP seeks to embody a new artistic current, where Psy Trance and Techno merge into a single, highly dynamic and modern genre.

The track that gives the EP its name, Circle Of Life, is perhaps one of my favorite compositions produced this year. I felt the need to push my creativity beyond the limits of Hard Techno, creating a track rich in contrasting elements that interact with each other as if they were part of a single organism belonging to a higher entity, delivering a message to the listener about the origins of humanity.

Distant Dreams is one of the tracks that most represents the introspective contrast compared to the other tracks in the EP, which are filled with elements that evoke euphoria in the listener. In this piece, I focused extensively on refining the sonic details, especially in the break, where the elements seem to meet and move in a voluptuous surrender.

Fifth Dimension is perhaps the most energetic track I’ve created recently. I allowed myself to be guided by imagination, aiming for the track to represent a modern sound, combining Hyper Pop influences with the pulsating Psy Bass typical of Psy Trance.

I deeply believe in the importance of blending different musical currents. Isn’t that, perhaps, our role as creatives? To break the rules and rewrite them according to our artistic vision?

Debe Debe Da is a track with great enigmatic charisma. No one knows what the main voice truly says—not even I, the creator of the track. However, its tribal function, combined with a dark choir that seems to summon the listener to dance, represents the rave sound I am exploring in 2024 and will continue to develop moving forward.
