Ivy Sydney defines its summer with a programme centred on the best of global electronic music
Australia’s leading open-air club unveils a line-up combining major international names, emerging talent, and top-tier production
Over the coming months, ivy Sydney launches a new summer season defined by an ambitious musical vision that reinforces its position as one of the key electronic music spaces on a global level. Widely regarded as the country’s leading open-air venue, the club presents a programme spanning house, techno, disco and hybrid sounds, bringing together established figures, rising artists, and the most active forces within the local scene.
Following recent appearances by artists such as Mochakk, Joel Corry, Golden Feature, Arielle Free, Luuk Van Dijk and Bella Claxton, ivy continues to expand its line-up with new additions set to be announced throughout the summer, maintaining a constant and carefully curated flow.
ABOVE: the heartbeat of Saturdays in Sydney
One of the central pillars of the season is ABOVE, the Saturday series that takes over the venue’s various terraces and showcases some of the most in-demand names on the international circuit. The concept blends house, disco and techno in an open-air setting supported by a d&b Audiotechnik sound system, immersive lighting, and a level of production that sets the benchmark for Australian clubbing.
Among the first confirmed names are Chris Stussy & Josh Baker (10 January), MaRLo (17 January) and Solardo (24 January), with further announcements planned on a week-by-week basis.
Lost Sundays: a boutique day-to-night format
On Sundays, ivy strengthens its identity with Lost Sundays, a boutique-style series that brings a festival-like experience into the heart of the city. The cycle focuses on carefully selected programming, with particular attention given to emerging artists and those in a phase of international growth.
For this summer, DJ Seinfeld, X-Coast, Ned Bennett, Locklead and D Stone (25 January) have already been announced, as part of a concept that combines daytime sessions, open-air sound and a community built around music as its core.
Weekly programming and special events
The schedule is completed by ivy Thursdays, one of the city’s most established midweek rituals, and WAO Superclub, which each Friday explores large-scale formats and cross-genre approaches ranging from R&B to tech house, techno and hardstyle.
In addition, the season will feature a series of special events, including the return of Glitterbox with Mousse T, Jellybean Benitez, Breakbot, Irfane, Yasmin and Close Counters (24 January), as well as a major Mardi Gras celebration headlined by Mel C and Michael Gray (28 February), alongside further announcements yet to be revealed.
With nearly two decades of history, ivy Sydney consolidates a summer that reinforces its role as a meeting point between international electronic music and the local scene, supported by high-level production and a continuous programme that keeps the club at the centre of the global clubbing conversation.
