Münster’s Docklands Festival turns 15: A look back in photo

Docklands Festival celebrated its 15th anniversary with nearly 24 hours of nonstop music pulsing through Münster’s iconic Hawerkamp district.
Spread across four distinct stages, each with its own visual identity, the 2025 edition offered everything from sun-drenched open-air euphoria to late-night club energy.
This year’s milestone lineup saw Solomun return for the first time since 2016, headlining a newly redesigned mainstage created especially for the occasion. ÂME went b2b with DJ Holographic in a genre-spanning set, while WhoMadeWho delivered a hybrid performance that blurred the lines between live and electronic. Elsewhere, Young Marco, Gerd Janson, Patrick Mason, and Joyce Muniz kept the grooves flowing from day into night.
True to its underground roots, Docklands stays clear of corporate polish. There are no towering VIP sections or fences dividing the artists from the crowd, just world-class sound, raw aesthetics, and a devoted, discerning audience.
Here are some of the photos that show why fans keep coming back year after year.
