ODYSSAY Unveils Long-Awaited Live Favourite ‘Consent’
After months of anticipation from audiences across Europe, Ukrainian live electronic artist and producer ODYSSAY finally releases Consent, a track that has evolved from an exclusive moment in his performances into one of the defining records in his catalogue.
Out now via ODA Recordings, Consent captures the scale and emotional intensity that has become synonymous with ODYSSAY’s live shows. Built around driving melodic techno rhythms, expansive synth work and cinematic arrangements, the production balances relentless dancefloor energy with moments of striking emotional release.
Originally conceived as an instrumental composition, the track found its final identity during rehearsals for ODA Symphony, the ambitious live production staged at Kyiv’s Palace of Sports. Experimenting with a live choir transformed the arrangement almost immediately, adding a new emotional dimension that reshaped the record into its finished form. Rather than serving as an embellishment, the choral performance became integral to the composition, elevating its dramatic tension while reinforcing the cinematic character that now defines the release.
The official release is accompanied by footage from the ODA Symphony performance, offering audiences a first glimpse of how Consent exists beyond the studio. The live recording illustrates the relationship between the composition, the visual production and the collective atmosphere that has made the track one of the most requested moments of ODYSSAY’s performances.
“I’ve been waiting for this release for a very long time,” says ODYSSAY. “People who come to my live shows know this track inside out and have been asking me constantly when it would finally be released. During rehearsals for the ODA Symphony performance at the Palace of Sports, we decided to experiment with adding a live choir. It fit the music so naturally and created such a powerful energy that there was never any question about keeping it in the final version. This release means a great deal to me, and I hope listeners will connect with it in the same way audiences already have.”
Operating between melodic techno and progressive house, ODYSSAY has built a reputation through an approach that rejects the traditional DJ format in favour of fully live electronic performance. Working with analogue synthesisers, live vocals and an extensive hardware setup, he constructs performances in real time, while his signature all-white visual identity deliberately contrasts with the darker imagery traditionally associated with techno culture.
His catalogue first gained international attention through early releases that accumulated millions of streams, while Before You Go was named Kiss FM’s “Track of the Year”. Since then, his music has appeared on internationally recognised labels including Interstellar, Armada Music, Purified Records and Black Hole Recordings.
In 2025, ODYSSAY reached another milestone by becoming the first Ukrainian electronic artist to headline and sell out Kyiv’s Palace of Sports, the country’s largest indoor arena. Performed during wartime before more than 7,000 people, the production demonstrated both the ambition of the project and the growing cultural significance of large-scale live electronic performance in Ukraine.
With Consent, that trajectory continues. What began as an unreleased live favourite now arrives as a fully realised studio recording, preserving the emotional weight and theatrical scale that audiences have experienced firsthand while marking another defining chapter in ODYSSAY’s evolving artistic vision.
