The sound of rebellion

The electronic music landscape has always been defined by a tension between the underground and the mainstream—between unfiltered artistic expression and commercial appeal. Some artists manage to bridge both worlds without losing their essence, maintaining the raw energy of rebellion while navigating the structure of a global industry. Paraçek is one such artist. A name that has become synonymous with high-energy, uplifting Hard Trance, he stands at the forefront of a new movement that redefines rave culture—one built on unity, unrestrained joy, and sheer sonic power.
Born from the fire of Dresden’s freeparty scene, Paraçek’s journey is not just about music—it’s about survival, passion, and an unshakable belief in the power of community. His initiation into the underground came not through formal training or industry connections but through the chaos of illegal raves, where diesel generators fueled the night, makeshift bars served as gathering points, and the music was an unfiltered expression of freedom. It was in these untamed spaces that he found his calling—not merely as a participant but as a force shaping the experience itself. Organizing events alongside friends from the local punk scene, he learned the true essence of DIY culture: self-reliance, unity, and an unbreakable bond between artist and audience.
His sound—fast, euphoric, and deeply communal—was forged in those early mornings when the first rays of sunlight hit the forest floor, illuminating a sea of ravers lost in the music. That moment, when exhaustion gives way to transcendence, became the heartbeat of his artistic vision. Today, as he moves between underground collectives and some of the biggest electronic music stages, he carries that spirit with him, refusing to let the purity of his roots be diluted by industry norms.
In this interview, we trace the evolution of Paraçek’s identity as an artist, from the renegade nights in Dresden’s woods to his rising influence in the global trance revival. We explore his deep ties to Sachsentrance, a pioneering force in the movement, and Hardcore Entertainment, an agency that is redefining what it means to be a trance artist today. Beyond the beats, we discuss the ethics of rave culture—the responsibility of artists, organizers, and dancers in shaping safer, more inclusive spaces without sacrificing the raw, untamed energy that makes underground scenes thrive.
More than just a DJ, Paraçek is a curator of collective euphoria, a bridge between past and future, and a reminder that rave culture is, at its core, about human connection. As trance and bounce continue their resurgence, we examine why these sounds resonate so deeply today, tapping into something primal, something emotional—something that makes people lose themselves in the music, together. Looking ahead, Paraçek hints at new creative endeavors, proving that while his signature sound remains, his journey is far from static.
Through this conversation, Paraçek offers more than just insights into his craft—he reveals the soul behind the sound. He is a dreamer, a raver, and a DJ who understands that beyond the beats, it is the shared moments on the dancefloor that truly define the music.

THE SPIRIT OF UNDERGROUND TRANCE
Dresden’s freeparty rave culture carries an unfiltered, almost mythical energy—one that thrives on rebellion, self-sufficiency, and pure, unadulterated sound. For many, stepping into this world for the first time is transformative. For Paraçek, it was the foundation of everything that followed.
A hundred young ravers, a sound system, a diesel generator, and a bar in a rented VW bus—deep in the Saxon forest. It sounds like the setup for a cult film, but in Dresden, this is just a regular night. The city’s proximity to the Czech Republic has long made it a hotspot for the free tek rave scene, where, from March to October, a rave could be found behind nearly every tree, every night from Thursday to Monday.
“I went out with three friends from the local punk scene,” Paraçek recalls.
“At some point, we thought, ‘We have to start something like this ourselves.”
That decision led to an education in DIY culture, where every party was a lesson in resilience, adaptability, and the power of community.
“As organizers, we had to do everything ourselves. We were the promoters, the bouncers, the bartenders, the DJs, and the clean-up crew—all on a voluntary basis.”
But for Paraçek, it was during the sunrise hours that he found his true calling.
“Early in the morning, that was my time to shine. That’s where I developed my signature sound—fast-paced, uplifting Hard Trance. I just wanted to put a smile on people’s faces, to make the ravers who stayed up all night with us feel like they were part of something special.”

WALKING THE LINE BETWEEN UNDERGROUND AND GLOBAL
The freeparty movement has always been about resistance—against commercialization, against constraints, against the mainstream. But as Paraçek’s career has expanded beyond the forests of Saxony, he has had to navigate the delicate balance between staying true to those underground roots and stepping into the structured world of the global electronic music industry.
“Yes, the industry I’m entering now is far removed from the non-commercial underground raves I did in Dresden,” he admits. “But I definitely try to keep that punky, cheeky spirit alive.”
For Paraçek, staying grounded means more than just holding onto a certain aesthetic or sound—it’s about giving back.
“I recently visited some friends in Bogotá, Colombia, and played for free at their collective’s event. I want to support these young, independent organizers, becauseI was one myself just four years ago.”
Still, reality dictates that not every gig can be an idealized underground gathering.
“Of course, sometimes I have to play at very big, commercial events that I probably wouldn’t attend as a guest,” he says.
“But yeah, I try to keep the balance between those worlds.”
Despite his rising profile, Paraçek remains a product of the underground, his sound a direct descendant of the movement that raised him. The energy of the Dresden rave scene still courses through his sets, still shapes his approach to music, and still reminds him that at its core, dance music is about connection.
Through his high-energy performances, his commitment to community, and his refusal to let go of the DIY ethos that shaped him, Paraçek is proof that even as an artist grows, the underground spirit doesn’t have to be left behind. Instead, it can be carried forward—one fast, euphoric beat at a time.
SACHSENTRANCE AND HARDCORE ENTERTAINMENT: SHAPING THE NEW TRANCE WAVE
The underground trance scene is experiencing a resurgence, and at the forefront of this movement stands Sachsentrance, a collective and event series redefining the energy and ethos of raving. More than just a brand, it is a community, a movement, and a pivotal force in shaping the sounds of the future. Alongside it, Hardcore Entertainment, a cuttingdge booking agency, is helping to propel this new wave of electronic music onto global stages.
Sachsentrance has been instrumental in bringing a fresh perspective to the underground trance scene. For Paraçek, it was a defining moment in his musical journey: “It was a summery Sunday morning at the Tarmac Festival, and suddenly I heard fast synthesizers and hardstyle squeaking from the floor. Then I saw a guy—the DJ—wearing a neon yellow helmet. It was Raverpik from Sachsentrance, preparing for his stage dive mid-set. It was completely over the top and crazy, but the floor was packed because somehow it hit a nerve. This vibe of not taking yourself too seriously and just celebrating together in a positive and happy way was refreshing. From that moment on, I knew—I wanted that too.”
The ability to blend high-energy performances with a sense of humor and pure rave euphoria is what sets Sachsentrance apart. It fosters an environment where artists and ravers alike can embrace the music with unrestrained joy while keeping the underground spirit alive.
Hardcore Entertainment: A Booking Agency Redefining the Scene
Hardcore Entertainment, the booking agency closely tied to Sachsentrance, plays a crucial role in this new movement, acting as a launchpad for artists pushing the boundaries of electronic music.
“My agency, Hardcore Entertainment, is just like its parent company Sachsentrance—one of the pioneers in the new trance wave. It embodies this fresh movement within the electronic scene and sets new standards. We currently have about 30 artists on our roster, representing genres like Trance, Bounce, Powerhouse, Acid, and Hardstyle.”
By curating a diverse and dynamic group of artists, Hardcore Entertainment ensures that the sounds of underground trance, hard dance, and euphoric rave music continue to thrive, evolving beyond niche communities into something larger while staying true to their roots.
THE UNWRITTEN RULES OF RAVING
While the rave scene is often associated with hedonism, it is, at its core, a space for connection, freedom, and self-discovery. Paraçek, deeply shaped by his experiences in Leipzig, Berlin, and Dresden, adheres to a set of unwritten rules that define his approach to both performing and partying:
“There are some common-sense rules that you should know before stepping into this scene. It’s no secret—· Always ask for consent. · Respect and take care of each other.
· No photos or videos.
· No shirtless policy.
· No GHB/GBL.
Against all types of discrimination.
We don’t tolerate racism, sexism, transphobia, or homophobia.”
These principles help maintain a space where ravers can lose themselves in the music without fear of judgment or harm, reinforcing the sense of community that makes underground raving so unique.
Fostering Safer and More Inclusive Rave Spaces
With the freedom that comes with raving, there is also a collective responsibility—something that both ravers and organizers must uphold. Creating safer, more inclusive spaces while preserving the raw, uninhibited essence of the scene requires deliberate action.
“I think if you enforce those unwritten rules without compromise, always have a sufficiently trained and sober awareness team and security at the venue, then it works.”
For Paraçek, Sachsentrance, and Hardcore Entertainment, the goal is clear: to keep the rave spirit alive while ensuring it remains a welcoming and inclusive space for all. As the underground trance scene continues to gain momentum, their efforts will undoubtedly shape its future, proving that rave culture is more than justmu sic—it’s a movement, a philosophy, and a way of life.
The Resurgence of Hard Trance
The world of electronic music is in a constant state of flux—trends evolve, sounds shift, and scenes come and go. But in recent years, a familiar force has made a loud and triumphant return: hard trance and bounce. Once staples of rave culture, these high-octane genres are now back on the global radar, and their resurgence is striking a chord with today’s audiences in a way that feels both fresh and nostalgic.
When asked what he believes drives the resurgence of hard trance and bounce, Paraçek points to a shift in the energy and attitude of the music.
“I firmly believe that the positive, fun-loving attitude of the new trance wave is simply the answer to years of dark, hard, evil, cool techno,” he says with conviction.
“Everything is less elitist and more together again, and that’s what I love about it. You don’t have to pull a mean face to get into the club, and nobody tells you what to wear or how to dance.”
His enthusiasm for this shift is palpable. Paraçek notes that the once stringent and exclusive nature of the scene is giving way to a more open and inclusive atmosphere where freedom and expression reign supreme.
“The same thing with singing in the club—if one person dares, then everyone dares, and people just love singing along again like they used to at a house party with friends.”
This return to a sense of community, he argues, is at the heart of what’s making hard trance and bounce resonate so strongly with today’s audience.
As someone deeply connected to Dresden’s underground, Paraçek is keenly aware of the delicate balance between staying true to his roots and embracing the global reach that modern technology offers. For him, this connection is essential, and it’s something he strives to maintain through both his music and his events.
“TRANCEKRAFT4000, my own party series in Dresden, will continue,” he shares.
“Within this framework, I am planning several large charity events to stay close to the Dresden community and my old friends while also using my platform to do something good. All the proceeds from these events will be donated to a good cause.”
It’s a powerful reminder that for Paraçek, the connection to his roots is not just about nostalgia—it’s about making a tangible, positive impact on the local scene.
At the same time, he’s aware that reaching a wider audience is crucial.
“My connection with the global audience will continue through social media and my music,” he adds.
By harnessing the power of platforms that can transcend borders, Paraçek keeps his music in the ears of fans all over the world while never losing sight of the importance of his home base.

Looking to the Future
As someone who thrives in the fast-paced world of hard trance and bounce, Paraçek’s music has always been about movement and joy. But where does he see himself heading next, both creatively and emotionally?
“I think I have found a niche and will stay that way for now and keep the course,” he states with determination. “There are still many stories to tell in the world of Paraçek, and the hyper power is still fun for me.”
This is not an artist who’s resting on his laurels. Even as he stays true to the high-energy, euphoric vibes that have become his signature, Paraçek hints at future projects that might take him into new creative territories.
“But parallel to that, I also have other projects on the side that might see the light of day in the future. I’m thinking of making a melancholic, ‘80s-infused new German wave album in a few years.”
It’s an exciting prospect for fans who might crave a shift in tone while still seeking the same depth and commitment that Paraçek brings to his work.
Keeping the Underground Spirit Alive
As the lines between underground and mainstream blur, the risk of losing the raw, rebellious spirit of rave culture becomes ever-present. Paraçek, however, is committed to keeping that spirit alive in his music and his events.
“A good way to rekindle this spirit and keep it alive is to use a microphone to get the crowd going wild, as we can see with Partiboi69 or M CR-T. This always gives the performance that acute, unique touch.”
It’s clear that Paraçek is dedicated to maintaining the authenticity and intensity that make the underground so magnetic.
Paraçek’s resurgence within the hard trance and bounce scene is more than just a moment in time. It’s a statement—a statement that the pulse of rave culture, with all its energy, community, and rebellion, is still very much alive. Whether he’s commanding the crowd in Dresden or captivating listeners worldwide, Paraçek remains one of the most dynamic forces in the electronic music world today.
“Thank you very much for reading up to here, vielen lieben Dank!” he signs off with a genuine warmth that reflects his connection to the community he holds dear.
MY THOUGHTS
Paraçek strikes me as an artist who is fully grounded in his roots, yet not confined by them. His journey from the gritty underground rave scene in Dresden to becoming a force within the global electronic music landscape is nothing short of inspiring. What’s particularly striking is the authenticity with which he carries the essence of that raw, rebellious underground energy. His sound—fast, euphoric, and communal—feels like a reflection of his belief in music as a space for connection, freedom, and celebration. In a scene often defined by commodification, Paraçek’s ability to stay true to his roots while embracing wider opportunities is impressive and speaks volumes about his character.
I also find his perspective on rave culture refreshing, especially when it comes to fostering inclusivity and safety. The unwritten rules he adheres to, such as respect for oneanother and zero tolerance for discrimination, are crucial for ensuring that rave spaces remain welcoming and safe for everyone. For an artist of his stature, promoting these values isn’t just an afterthought; it’s an essential part of his ethos. It shows a deep understanding of the responsibility that comes with being a public figure in an often chaotic and unregulated world. Paraçek’s efforts to balance the unrestrained joy of rave culture with a commitment to creating positive, inclusive environments are something I really admire.
His connection to the DIY ethos of the underground scene is particularly striking. There’s something incredibly powerful about Paraçek’s belief in community and self-reliance—traits that are the backbone of the freeparty movement. His insistence on maintaining the spirit of those early rave experiences, even as he plays at larger, more commercial events, speaks to his dedication to preserving the purity of the rave experience. It’s not just about playing to the crowd; it’s about creating an immersive moment where everyone feels part of something larger than themselves. This dedication to community-building is rare and makes his performances more than just a show—they’re collective experiences.
What I really respect about Paraçek is his ability to evolve without losing his essence. While he’s rooted in hard trance and bounce, he’s not afraid to explore new creative avenues, like the potential for a melancholic, ‘80s-infused New German wave album. It’s exciting to think about how he might channel his energy into different sounds while maintaining the euphoric, high-energy spirit that defines his work. This willingness to innovate within the confines of his signature style shows that he is far from static. His ability to blend nostalgia with new creative expressions hints at even greater things to come.
Finally, Paraçek’s commitment to the local community, especially through his charity events, offers a powerful reminder that music, at its best, isn’t just about personal success—it’s about giving back. His connection to Dresden and his efforts to keep his community involved in his growth as an artist add an extra layer of depth to his story. There’s something incredibly grounding in his ability to keep his roots intact while also taking his music to a global audience. It’s a testament to the fact that no matter how far one goes, the most important thing is never losing sight of where you came from.
