Sonny Fodera proves his super status at Pacha Ibiza this summer

On Monday night, July 21, the dancefloor at Pacha Ibiza was buzzing well before the main man stepped into the booth. Sonny Fodera has long been making Monday nights on the island his own, but this year his move to play under the iconic Pacha cherries has become one of the summer’s hottest tickets with vital line-ups to match.

On this night there was a stacked lineup that included US turntablist A-Trak, UK tastemaker Danny Howard and Saffron Stone, a young star signed to Fodera's Solotoko label and making waves. The whole night was a masterclass in house music energy, with all shades represented from soulful to vocal to more deep, but it was Fodera’s closing set that truly cemented why 2025 is the year he’s moved into true superstar territory.

Delivering a blistering set packed with euphoric house heaters and sun-soaked vibes, he cooked up many a singalong with his adoring fans who were locked into his irresistible vocal hooks. The venue too plays its role - what once once a converted farmhouse is now a temple of hedonism with surprises around every corner from surprise terraces to secret VIP nooks and hidden dance floors. Sensory overloads come at you through the world class lighting and visuals, while the immersive sound system has to be heard to be believed - every kick can be felt in your chest and each melody lingers long in the brian.

The hit-making Australian DJ and producer is still riding high from a sold-out 20,000-capacity show at Silverworks in London earlier this month. “Pacha was the first club I ever stepped foot in when I came to the island years ago,” he told us afterwards. “Having my own residency here still feels surreal. It’s a dream I’ve had for so long.”

That dream has become reality each week since mid June and it's been bigger than anyone could have imagined. Fodera is now the first Australian artist to headline his own Pacha residency, and Mondays at the legendary venue are a weekly pilgrimage for fans of his signature blend of soulful vocals and groovy basslines. “The energy this season has been next level,” he says. “The crowd brings the vibes every week, and the sound system here is unreal.”

Beyond the booth, Sonny’s success in 2025 speaks for itself. He was recently nominated for Song of the Year at the BRIT Awards for his single 'Somedays', which was released on his own independent label Solotoko and as such is the only independent release on the list in a field dominated by major-label giants. 'Somedays' became his second UK Top 10 hit following 'Asking', another track that showed his ability to craft emotional yet floor-ready records. These have not only dominated charts, but have helped grow his fiercely loyal fanbase and always make for electric dance floors whenever and wherever he plays.

Looking ahead, Fodera teased more summer magic still to come at Pacha. “I’m buzzing to welcome guests like Jayda G, MK, Roger Sanchez and Eats Everything,” he said. “Mondays at Pacha have truly become something special but I can’t wait to see where we take it next.”

From Adelaide house parties to Ibiza headliner, Sonny Fodera’s journey has come full circle, and it’s only getting bigger from here on out. Check out full lineups for Sonny Fodera’s Pacha Ibiza residency here; https://pacha.com/
