Telepathic Instruments Unveils Drop 5 and the New Clear Orchid: Arctic
Telepathic Instruments announces its most anticipated release yet. On May 11th, the Clear Orchid: Arctic arrives, a fully transparent, limited-edition variant capped at 3,000 units worldwide. Since its launch, Orchid has rapidly become an industry favorite, earning a spot on TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025 and appearing on major 2026 records like Don Toliver’s Octane. Invented by Kevin Parker, the instrument’s unique chord-based logic has resonated with everyone from global superstars to non-musicians.
To mark the occasion, the company released a new short film titled ‘TeleVision’, starring Joséphine de La Baume as a musical medium and narrated by Josh Homme. The film serves as a witty critique of the "creativity industry," featuring cameos from high-profile Orchid owners like Lewis Capaldi and Janelle Monáe. This drop also sees the full release of Pistil, Orchid's companion VST plugin. Now available for Mac and Windows, Pistil brings the instrument’s three custom-designed synth engines and its signature harmonic palette into any studio session, offering deep customization for Orchid owners and a powerful standalone tool for producers.
