Cosmic Gate, Digital Culture, Paul van Dyk, and more share their 'Dancefloor Weapon' ahead Of Transmission Festival 2025

Ahead of the milestone 20th anniversary edition, the stars of Transmission Netherlands 2025 share the tracks guaranteed to ignite the GelreDome.

As Transmission Festival prepares to transport thousands of trance lovers to "The Temple of Time" for its landmark 20th anniversary celebration, we asked the festival's world-class lineup to reveal their ultimate dancefloor weapons – those special tracks that never fail to create magic on the dancefloor.

Set to unfold on April 12, 2025, at the GelreDome Stadium in Arnhem, Transmission Netherlands promises an extraordinary audiovisual journey through the ages, from ancient civilizations to futuristic realms. With VIP tickets nearly reaching sell-out, this exclusive European show will feature towering arches of sound, intricate layers of lights and lasers, and performances meticulously crafted to match each era in the time-traveling narrative.

Here's what the artists will have locked and loaded in their arsenals:

Craig Connelly, CIRCA96 - Disco In The Scrap Yard

This is my secret weapon because it's completely unexpected from a set of uplifting trance that I've become known for. It's totally dirty, angry, and banging, which is the complete opposite of the sweet melodies you'll usually hear. The stark contrast always keeps my sets fresh.

Cosmic Gate - Your Mind

Our long-term secret weapon is definitely one of our own tracks: 'Your Mind'. We didn't get off to a good start with it, with the release date falling right at the start of COVID and all venues being closed. This track has club plays written all over it, but after its release, no club plays were possible.

Over time, though, after returning to regular touring, it has built its way through our DJ streams and sets into the hearts of our fans. It has slowly grown into one of the biggest reactions whenever we play it, club or festival. In the end, we're quite happy to have 'Your Mind' as it feels more or less exclusive to our DJ sets – after a bad start, it has found its personal happy ending nevertheless.

Daxson - While We Wait

This track has been an essential part of my sets, delivering the perfect blend of uplifting energy and deep emotion. It's a record that means a lot to me personally. Whenever I play it, there's a special atmosphere, and it always gets one of the biggest reactions from the crowd. 'While We Wait' is the perfect track to close my sets with. One of my favorite memories was seeing an entire sea of hands in the air at Transmission Festival, reminding me why I love playing this track so much.

Digital Culture - Wildcard

Our secret weapon of the night: Wildcard. This track is pure energy from start to finish — the vocal chop at the start, that massive breakdown, and the drop… every time we play it, it goes off. It's a certified crowd favorite.

Push - Strange World (Driftmoon Remix) [UNRELEASED]

During my set if I can see the energy changing, I always try to pick a classic which will make the energy level rise! Lately, my secret weapon has been my remix of Push - Strange World, which I made exclusively for Transmission.

Jerome Isma-Ae - Hold That Sucker Down (Hel:søwed Remix)

"We have a dedicated playlist of 'Dancefloor Weapons' that never fail, but if we had to pick a current favorite, it would be our own remix of Jerome Isma-Ae - Hold That Sucker Down, inspired by the original from O.T. Quartet. This track works in every setting, whether in an intimate club or on a massive festival stage. Every time we drop it, the crowd's reaction is huge."

Paul van Dyk & The Yellowheads - Back 2 The FVTR

My dance floor weapon right now is Back 2 The FVTR—my collab with The Yellowheads from my upcoming album This World Is Ours. It's high energy with a dark edge, a future-forward production that really stands out, especially with that cool vocal element giving it a unique touch.
