LOS ANGELES / NEW YORK, May 1, 2026 | Mexican trans artist Valentina Moretti launches CyberFetish Records alongside "Doctor Machin," the debut single from Soy Machin, Valentina Moretti’s new alias and the most deliberate, personal project of her career. CyberFetish Records, launched alongside Mark Gartenberg, director of SXSW’s annual songwriting camp, is an independent electronic label rooted in the underground club culture of New York City, and built to carry that spirit forward.

The name Soy Machin is Spanish slang for "I am a man," a phrase used for years across Latin America to demean trans women. Valentina chose it with full knowledge of what it carries, and what it means to take it back. The music that surrounds it draws from the raw, confrontational textures of Electroclash and Electronic Body Music, shaped by Spanish lyrics and a visual world running through fetish culture, cyberpunk futurism, and the defiant spirit of queer nightlife. To listen to it is to understand what it means to take something meant to wound and make it entirely your own.

CyberFetish Records traces its roots back to the underground club culture of New York City in the 1990s, the same culture that gave birth to House, Techno, ElectroClash and Electronic Body Music as both artistic and political forces. The label exists to carry that spirit into a new era, building a home for artists working at the intersection of sound, style and social progress.

Two weeks after the original release, CyberFetish follows the original cut with the "Doctor Machin (Tommie Sunshine Remix)." Sunshine arrives at this project with a catalog of over 300 remixes spanning Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, Donna Summer, Santana, Fall Out Boy and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, alongside a reputation built across the main stage of Ultra Music Festival and the Hard stage at Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas. He runs his own label Brooklyn Fire, has produced music for fashion houses including Versace and Chanel, and is widely recognized in the electronic music world as a tastemaker to tastemakers. His presence on this release reflects something deliberate about where this music belongs and who it is speaking to.

Valentina Moretti's career has unfolded on stages and in studios that take years to reach. Her work has earned praise from Pete Bellotte (producer of Donna Summer), Robert Margouleff (producer of Stevie Wonder), Richard Gibbs (The Simpsons, Battlestar Galactica) and Gordon Raphael (The Strokes), with whom she has collaborated. Spotify recognized her with a Billboard in Times Square. She has performed at EDC on the Circuit Grounds stage, headlined the HE.SHE.THEY residency on BBC Radio 1 Dance, and appeared in the official FOX/NFL Super Bowl LVII campaign alongside Banda MS. As the only Latin American artist to hold brand ambassador roles with Roland, Korg and Novation simultaneously, she occupies a singular position in the global electronic music community. CyberFetish Records is what comes next.
