Verknipt ArenA to attempt Guinness World Records title for largest laser show

Hard techno leaders Verknipt have announced plans to attempt a Guinness World Records title for the largest laser show during its upcoming event at the Johan Cruijff ArenA on July 19. The second edition of Verknipt ArenA will feature over 1,000 lasers deployed throughout the stadium, which would significantly exceed the current record of 824 lasers set in Dubai.

The laser show is scheduled for 23:50 and will be integrated into a larger audiovisual performance spanning the entire stadium. Verknipt organisers emphasise the scale and complexity of this year’s production, which includes a 360-degree stage and full venue lighting synchronisation. The 2025 event follows last year’s debut edition, which drew 40,000 attendees and featured a 10-minute multimedia show with 50 lasers.

This year’s edition will also showcase a diverse lineup of hard techno artists with performances from established names and emerging acts such as Nico Moreno, DYEN, Basswell, Cloudy, Paul Elstak, Cynthia Spiering, while special back-to-back and back-to-back-to-back sets are also planned alongside a Verknipt ArenA 2025 album showcase with PALØ, NZGÜL, and Hardsok.
