Verknipt sets GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for world’s largest laser show at final Johan Cruijff ArenA edition

Dutch event brand Verknipt has officially set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the largest laser show ever with 1,100 lasers illuminating the Johan Cruijff ArenA during the final edition of Verknipt ArenA.

The milestone was reached at exactly 23:50 during a pre-programmed moment in the event’s main show, where the stadium was transformed by a fully synchronised audiovisual experience. A total of 1,100 lasers were used in the 10-minute display, surpassing the previous record of 824 lasers set in Dubai.

Said the Verknipt team, “We didn’t just break a world record, we’ve written history. The energy in the ArenA was indescribable during the special 10-minute Verknipt Experience show: happiness, excitement, but also deep emotion as we closed this final chapter. This wasn’t just a show, it was a shared moment of connection we’ll carry with us forever.”

The achievement marks a historic farewell to Verknipt’s time at the ArenA. First held in 2024, the event quickly became a major fixture in the hard techno calendar, culminating in this record-breaking send-off that brought together over 40,000 attendees. The production featured a 360° stage with a rotating DJ booth, custom laser rigging, and a tightly choreographed light sequence that took months to prepare.

The night also featured back-to-back sets from Basswell & Onlynumbers, Cloudy & NOVAH, Cynthia Spiering & Paul Elstak, DYEN & Fantasm, and a solo performance by Nico Moreno. Fans also experienced the unveiling of the Verknipt ArenA 2025 Album and the immersive Verknipt Experience Show.

The event closed a significant chapter for Verknipt, not only marking a production milestone but also highlighting the community and cultural impact the brand has had within the global hard techno scene.
