World Premiere Over Cologne: Bootshaus And Alle Farben Turn Goodyear-Branded Zeppelin Into First Club With Partying Guests

What began as a high-profile announcement became reality on September 17, 2026: under the title "Bootshaus presents Alle Farben on a Zeppelin," iconic Cologne venue Bootshaus, alongside Sunshine Live and Zeppelin NT, delivered a world first in electronic music history. Berlin DJ and producer Alle Farben performed live aboard a Zeppelin airship over Cologne in front of an invited group of guests.

With clear skies and unobstructed views of the city skyline and cathedral, twelve passengers took off from Hangelar Airfield: six contest winners and six crew members, bringing the total on board to fourteen alongside the two pilots.

A Club Above the Clouds

For around an hour, Alle Farben transformed the Goodyear-branded Zeppelin into a floating club. As the airship traced its path over the city—including a celebratory lap above Bootshaus itself—the artist delivered a live set set against panoramic views from above.

While isolated DJ sets have been recorded inside Zeppelins before for small production teams without an audience, this flight represents the first time globally that a DJ performed live in front of a group of partying guests on board, establishing the first "Zeppelin club" in history.

A Rare Format

The impact of the event also highlights the extreme rarity of the aircraft. Only six operational Zeppelin airships exist worldwide: three with Deutsche Zeppelin-Reederei in Germany and three with tire manufacturer Goodyear in the United States. Since the model debuted in 1997, only nine have ever been built.

Anticipation ahead of take-off drew massive engagement, with around 5,000 entries submitted for the limited spots via Bootshaus's official Instagram page and local partner Köln ist cool.

Reactions From the Flight

"That was a unique experience you don't get every day. I will remember this flight forever."

— Alle Farben

"Normally we make sure the flight is calm and smooth. Today, instead, we made sure the rhythm above the clouds was perfect. A flight that we, as a crew, won't forget either."

— Fritz Günther, Pilot in Command at Zeppelin NT
